Buyer Protection

When you buy from a business through a Verdge storefront, your payment is protected. The seller doesn't get paid until you've received your order — so you can shop with confidence, even from a business you're trying for the first time.

1. How Buyer Protection works

You pay. Your payment is held safely by our payment partner — it does not go straight to the seller.
The seller delivers. They hand over your goods, complete your service, or send your digital item.
You confirm. Once you've received your order and you're happy, you confirm — and the seller is paid. If you don't confirm, the payment releases to the seller automatically after a protection window that we show you at checkout, so honest sellers always get paid.

You have the whole protection window to check what you received before the money is released.

2. If something goes wrong

If your order doesn't arrive, isn't as described, or there's another problem, raise a dispute before the protection window closes. We'll review it. If it's resolved in your favour, you're refunded to your Verdge Wallet (or your original payment source, where applicable).

The best time to act is while the payment is still being held — so tell us early if anything looks wrong.

3. What's covered

Goods, services, and digital items you buy from a seller through a Verdge storefront on the platform.

Not covered:

payments you arrange with a seller off-platform (e.g., a direct bank transfer outside Verdge);
VerdgeCredits and other rewards, which are not money;
losses caused by inaccurate information you provided, or by your own breach of our Terms.

4. Good to know

4.1. Verdge is a technology and payment-routing platform, not a bank, and does not itself hold your money — protected payments are held with our payment partner until they're released or refunded.

4.2. A platform service fee, shown to you at checkout, may apply when a payment is released to the seller.

4.3. Buyer Protection is a purchase-protection feature — it isn't insurance or a guarantee against every possible loss, and it doesn't replace choosing sellers carefully and checking your order within the protection window.
